NEW DELHI, July 12 — Punjabi-pop singer Jasmine Sandlas confirmed she is engaged, making the announcement in front of a live audience at her Delhi concert on Saturday.

The moment unfolded at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, the opening venue of Sandlas's newly launched Dream Girl India Tour. Midway through the set, she called her partner, Shekhar Chaudhary, onto the stage and introduced him to the crowd, holding up her hand to display the engagement ring.

Sandlas told the audience that Chaudhary was the person who had proposed, before the two shared an embrace to loud applause. The singer then performed her track "Laavan" while dancing with Chaudhary, who blew her a kiss as he exited the stage. She appeared emotional in the moments that followed.

Beyond the engagement reveal, the Delhi show doubled as the first stop of Sandlas's tour, featuring performances of "Taras," "Illegal Weapon," "Laavan," "Panjeba" and "Sip Sip," along with "Shararat" and "Jaiye Sajana," both drawn from the "Dhurandhar" film franchise.

Remaining tour dates

Sandlas's Dream Girl India Tour will next travel to Mumbai on July 18, followed by Bengaluru on July 25 and Chandigarh on August 29, according to the announced schedule.

Who is Jasmine Sandlas

Sandlas was born in Jalandhar, Punjab, and grew up in Stockton, California. Her music career dates back to 2007, when she released her first single, "Muskan." She subsequently built an independent following through albums such as "Gulabi" and "What's In A Name," before crossing into Bollywood.

Her Hindi film breakthrough came via "Yaar Na Miley," recorded alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh for the movie "Kick." Speaking previously with podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia about that period, Sandlas said the song's success arrived around the same time her father passed away, a loss that reshaped her family and one she said she still feels while celebrating career milestones.

Since then, Sandlas has lent her voice to several notable soundtracks, including "Taras" for "Munjya" and two songs, "Shararat" and "Jaiye Sajna," for the "Dhurandhar" film series.

Looking ahead

No wedding date or further details have been shared publicly by Sandlas or Chaudhary following the announcement. Fans following the tour can expect updates as Sandlas continues her scheduled performances across India.
